This September, Albuquerque Browns Backers President Jason Lister is trading his Browns gear for running shoes and taking on the Lobo Cancer Challenge 5K in memory of an extraordinary young man named Mikey.
Several years ago, Jason had the privilege of being part of Mikey's Make-A-Wish, putting on a Spider-Man suit and helping deliver his new puppy, Archie. Their time together was brief, but Mikey left an impression that Jason has never forgotten.
With the blessing of Mikey's family, Jason will run the 2026 Lobo Cancer Challenge in his memory while raising funds to support the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center and the fight against cancer here in New Mexico.
His goal is $2,500—and we're asking the Albuquerque Dawg Pound to help him get there. Whether you donate, share Mikey's story, or simply help spread the word, every bit of support matters.
